This 1978 Indy Pace Car is an original North Carolina car and has an original 12,624 documented miles and also hosts a barrage of documentation like Original Build Sheet, Owner’s Manual, Original Chevrolet Dealer Inspection Sheet, Original North Caroline Inspection Sheet, Instruction for Factory T-Tops and more. This 1978 Chevrolet Corvette has been properly stored and maintained over the last 30 years by its previous owners as you will witness in the following photos of this very special collector series Indy 500 Pace Car Corvette. The Pace Car’s special Silver interior was also distinctive, utilizing massively bolstered new seats designed to fold flat for easier rear luggage access, 1978 was not only Corvette's 25th birthday but also the first time they paced the Indy 500. To celebrate the event, Chevrolet built a series of pace car replicas.
